Foxconn CEO confirms Apple Television?

Apple is rumored since years to make a television. In the last months those rumors intensified. Now Foxconn's Terry Gou has according to a report from a news conference confirmed the Apple iTV.

Foxconn is Apple's main supplier for hardware. According to China Daily, Foxconn's CEO Terry Gou said that the company is getting ready for the production of the Apple Television. A recent joint venture with Sharp in Japan is one of the pieces for the Apple television production. He also said that development or manufacturing has yet to begin.

Foxconn's CEO should know better to not talk about future Apple products. So we take this report with a grain of salt. Especially as the these hot comments are at the end of a longer report about Foxconn's future plans.

a recent analyst report states that there are no signs for Apple to release an Apple HDTV this year.
