NeuroSky releases MindWave Mobile Brain Computer Interface for Android and iOS

Brain-Computer-Interface (BCI) company NeuroSky launches MindWave Mobile, the world’s first brainwave-reading device for iOS and Android. Watch video below.

MindWave Mobile differs from its sister-product MindWave by transferring the user’s RAW brainwave data via Bluetooth, increasing data integrity, and is compatible with iOS and Android platforms as well as PC and Mac. This increases accessibility for users and dynamically opens up opportunities on mobile and tablet platforms, a market that exceeds personal computers and is trending exponentially.

The MindWave Mobile headset is bundled with interactive MyndPlay, the world’s first mind-controlled video application that puts users in control of their own movie experiences. MyndPlay works similar to Edward Packard’s “Choose Your Own Adventure” game books in that the user can adjust various scenes and outcomes within the movie, simply by focusing or relaxing when required.

MindWave Mobile hardware headset is available for $129.99 and works with over 100 software applications. Mobile specific applications are available on iTunes and Android Market, with more in queue to be added as applications go through Apple’s stringent approval process.
