Apple hands out brochures
I think it would be understandable for people in the area where Apple intends to build its new space ship campus to be a bit fearful of the design. Apple is doing some outreach by handing out brochures that show a rendering of the facility and how it will change the area. It seems that the facility will change the area for the better.
The brochure was handed out to nearby businesses and shows that the new site will not replace the corporate headquarters that are in Cupertino. Twenty six old buildings on the 176-acre site will be destroyed to make way for the spaceship facility and its 2.8 million square feet. A nearby set of existing buildings will also be replaced with an additional 300,000 square feet of research buildings. The new campus will accommodate 13,000 employees and will be LEED certified for energy efficiency.
