Facebook shares closed at $31 yesterday. Today in pre-market trading the FB shares rose about 2.5%. This is kind of surprising, given all the reports about the weird things that went on during the IPO. According to BusinessInsider analysts of the underwriting companies have lowered their estimates. The reason for this is apparently that Facebook will have a disappointing Q2 earnings call. If true, this information was not fully publicized to every investor. That is why the SEC and FINRA are taking a closer look at what happened in the Facebook IPO and if everything was legal and in compliance.
