The long-running legal battle between Activision Blizzard Incorporated and Infinity Ward has finally been settled. The legal case has been going on for a while after mudslinging and disagreements over the Modern Warfare video games and the direction the franchise would go.
Apparently, Activision wanted the franchise to stay in the World War II era while the Infinity Ward leadership wanted to go modern. Activision Blizzard has announced they have settled the dispute and the terms are strictly confidential. However, a significant amount of money must've changed hands because Activision says that the one-time charges related to the settlement won't impact earnings.
