The E3 2012 is opening today, but Nintendo already made a big splash with revealing more details about the upcoming Wii U Gamepad on Sunday. The Nintendo E3 2012 press-conference is on Tuesday. For some reason Nintendo chose to already talk about the Wii U gamepad ahead of that event.
The final Wii U Gamepad has now two game sticks and backside buttons. Another interesting feature is the NFC reader and writer. Additionally the Wii U Gamepad is also an infra-red TV remote. The Wii U has a touchscreen, motion sensor and gyro sensor.
Nintendo highlights the two screen gaming possibilities. The company will show game play at the E3 2012 press-conference. I am still not convinced that the Wii U is going to be a huge hit. You can watch the full 30 minute Nintendo Direct Pre E3 2012 presentation below.
