Wii U Gamepad officially unveiled ahead of E3 2012
The E3 2012 is opening today, but Nintendo already made a big splash with revealing more details about the upcoming Wii UGamepad on Sunday. The Nintendo E3 2012 press-conference is on Tuesday. For some reason Nintendo chose to already talk about the Wii U gamepad ahead of that event.
The final Wii U Gamepad has now two game sticks and backside buttons. Another interesting feature is the NFCreader and writer. Additionally the Wii U Gamepad is also an infra-red TV remote. The Wii U has a touchscreen, motion sensor and gyro sensor.
Nintendo highlights the two screen gaming possibilities. The company will show game play at the E3 2012 press-conference. I am still not convinced that the Wii U is going to be a huge hit. You can watch the full 30 minute Nintendo Direct Pre E3 2012 presentation below.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
