The Mazda Miata or MX-5 has been around for a long time. The car is undoubtedly one of the best sports cars out there with precision handling and good looks. The one thing the car has been missing by most accounts is a healthy dose of power under the hood. That power need has been addressed with the new 2012 MX-5 Yusho concept that has surfaced in Germany.
This concept has a very similar style to the current MX-5, but straps a supercharger to the 2-liter four-cylinder engine. That supercharger ups the output of the little four-cylinder engine to 237 HP and 202 pound-feet of torque. That's a significant gain from the standard four-cylinder engine and will completely change the nature of the MX-5. I hope this car goes into the production.
