EA to Bring SimCity Social to Facebook

EA is set to bring one of its longest running and most popular games to Facebook. EA has announced SimCity Social and it sounds to be an interesting game. SimCity was the first game from EA I ever played and I think a lot of people will enjoy the casual, social game. EA announced the game at its E3 press conference this week.

The game has typical SimCity game play where players get to play like they are the mayor of the city and build up various things to keep the populace happy. You also have to fight disasters and rebuild your city. Apparently, among those disasters are giant birds that poop on everything. “We have high aspirations and high hopes for this one,” said Jami Laes, VP of Global Studios for Playfish, EA’s social games studios.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
