Google activates 900,000 Android Devices per Day

Google's Andy Rubin announced via Twitter that Google is now activating 900,000 Android devices per day. This is a crazy high number and I assume that Google will hit a million devices somewhen later this year. It is save to assume that 90% of these activations are smartphones and the rest tablets. Android tablets are not selling that crazy, but Android phones do.

Will the next iPhone or the Windows Phone 8 devices slow the Android growth?
