Apple Television expected to have Gesture Control and Touchscreen Remote

Nobody expects that Apple will unveil an Apple Television today at the WWDC 2012. Topeka Capital analyst Brian White times though the release of a research note about the Apple Television with the WWDC 2012.

He predicts that the Apple Television will have gesture control. A feature that's not new as the latest series of Samsung Smart TVs have gesture control. He also thinks that the Apple Television would come with a touchscreen remote in the size of an iPad. For the latter I think that it will be an iPad. Why would Apple need to develop yet another touch device if there are the iPhone, iPod and the iPad.

The Apple TV is not expected in 2012. What comes first is likely an Apple TV box with app support.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
