MacBook Pro with Retina Display Details unveiled

Apple has released the details and a video of the new thin 2012 MacBook Pro with retina display. The stunning high performance machine is a work of art. The Retina display has a size of 15.4-inch (diagonal) and is a LED-backlit display with IPS technology. The resolution is2880-by-1800 resolution at 220 pixels per inch with support for millions of colors.

The CPU choice is Core i7 and you can go up to 2.7 Ghz. The RAM starts at 8GB and you can upgrade to 16GB. SSD storage is starting at 256GB and you can go as high as 768GB. The graphics is handled by NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory with automatic graphics switching.

The 2.02kg Retina MacBook Pro is only 18mm thin. See all the Retina MacBook Pro details on the Apple site. Proceed with caution, as you might just want to put down several thousand dollars on your credit card after drooling over the specs and design.
