New iOS 6 features include: an all-new Maps app with Apple-designed cartography, turn-by-turn navigation, and an amazing new Flyover view; new Siri features, including support for more languages, easy access to sports scores, restaurant recommendations, and movie listings; Facebook integration for Contacts and Calendar, with the ability to post directly from Notification Center, Siri, and Facebook-enabled apps like Photos, Safari, and Maps; shared Photo Streams via iCloud; and Passbook, the simplest way to get all your passes in one place.
Apple unveiled iOS 6 yesterday at the WWDC 2012. iOS 6 will keep Google and Microsoft busy matching the new functionality. Apple has now published a nice overview of the new iOS 6 features coming this Fall along with the iPhone 5.
The iOS 6 update will be free. My favorite iOS 6 features include new Apple Maps with 3D and Turn-by-Turn, Do Not Disturb and new PhoneApp features. To finally be able make FaceTime video calls over 3G is also awesome.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
