Apple kills the failing Ping Social Network

Have you used Apple's Ping music social network? No? You are not alone. Apple's attempt to create a social network failed so far. Now AllthingsD reports that sources close to Apple told them that Ping will be killed in the next iTunes release.

At the WWDC 2012 keynote Apple should super tight integration of Facebook and Twitter in the upcoming iOS 6 and OS X Mountain Lion. Clearly Apple decided that they are not in the business of social networks and let others do that.
