If you are one of the masses that was hoping tablet running Microsoft Windows 8 RT would be cheap enough to be a serious option to the iPad, odds are you going to be disappointed. According to reports Microsoft is charging anywhere from $80-$95 per license for the operating system. The average quoted price according to VR-Zone was $85 per license.
Sources also said that tablet to launch running Windows RT will sell for $549-$799. That certainly means most people will be buying an iPad if they're shopping for a tablet. Premium tablets are said to cost $799 to $899.
