Newsweek Daily Beast Digital Power Index lists the Top 100 Digital Influencers

With the inaugural Digital Power Index (#digitalpowerindex), Newsweek set out to catalogue the most influential players – the technological disruptors who have made billions, toppled regimes, and who want to rewire your world.

Here is yet another ranking of people that stand out. Forbes lists the rich and famous and now Newsweek and the Daily Beast released their first list of digital power players. This years top 100 digital power list is led by Jeff Bezos followed by Larry Page and Mark Zuckerberg.

There are also category winners. Pinterest CEO Ben Silverman is for instance the top Visionary of last year.

The ranking method:
To compile the Digital Power Index, Newsweek/The Daily Beast convened ten panels of experts to nominate their peers based on their influence during the last year. Nominees were then scored by the panelists using three measures for influence: reach, impact and innovation. We also partnered with social-data firm Spot Influence to evaluate the winners’ influence on social-media platforms. Ninety percent of the final ranking was determined by each nominee’s expert-peer score, and 10 percent by his/her Spot Influence score.
