Sony has a new set top box packing Google TVsoftware that will go on sale or pre-order in the US and in the UK soon called the NSZ-GS7. The box will land in Europe this summer and can be pre-ordered now. Pre-orders will cost you about $200 here in the United States and is expected to hit stores July 22. Other countries will get the set-top box later this year.
The set-top box will allow users to stream all sorts of content to their existing TV without having to upgrade to a new smart TV. Content will be available from local sources depending on the country as well as streaming video sources such as YouTube and presumably Netflix. The set will also supportGoogle Play apps. The box is an interesting dual sided remote control with the touchpad for cursor control on one side the keyboard on the other side for running searches, and typing e-mails and social network updates.

Doc Rivers Gets 5-Year Extension With Los Angeles Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers gave president of basketball operations and head coach Glenn "Doc" Rivers a five-year contract extension on Aug. 27 which runs through the 2018-19 NBA season. It was new Clippers owner Steve Ballmer's first major move since officially purchasing the franchise earlier this month.
