Instagram
One of the most popular image sharing applications Instagram recently introduced support for android users after social networking giant Facebook bought the company out for $1 billion. This application is great for those wanting to give a vintage feel to their smartphone images, offering a choice of different color filters and effects.
Cinegram
If taking pictures isn’t creative enough, you can check out Cinegram, an application that allows you to animate your images for visual or comedic effect. Word has it that Android users should expect to see the Cinegram application released on the market place within the year so keep your eyes peeled.
Angry Birds
The king of smartphone games Angry Birds is by no means a new application but with a recent new version entitled ‘Angry Birds Space’, smartphone users once again have an addictive game to tangle with for the next few months. Fans of the past games will no doubt love the twist on the old formula, with new space physics altering the gaming dynamic as well as a bunch of new birds and game features to keep things interesting.
Temple Run
Android users will be happy to know that one of the most addictive IPhone games is now available to download on the Android market place. Temple Run is a high octane experience which puts you in control of an Indiana Jones type character, dodging obstacles as you are chased by an evil monster. This game is highly recommended for those who like to have a quick, intense game on long commutes.
SloPro
IPhone 4s users will love this fantastic new slow motion image application, shooting images at 60fps in 720p HD. This is undoubtedly the best slow motion application on the market but is unfortunately only supported on the IPhone 4S. Be sure to look out for iphone deals if shooting in slow motion is something you intend to do.
Sparrow
IPhone users who primarily use Google mail along with Apple’s mail app will be relieved to know that a new app is on the market. Sparrow is a highly polished application that allows you to use priority inboxes and star important emails unlike Apple’s mail app. The much improved threaded view is by far the most appealing feature of this app, making reading long email threads a breeze.
