Ford Unveils Technology to Help in Traffic and with Parking

Ford has unveiled new technology designed to help drivers when parking the car and when driving in traffic. Ford has announced it is developing Traffic Jam Assist technology that uses some of the tech from the already available active Park Assist and adaptive cruise control. The traffic jam technology also takes advantage of Lane-keeping Aid and the PowerShift transmission Ford offers.

Together these technologies enable the vehicle to automatically keep pace with other cars around it. The new parking technology allows the vehicle to parallel park with the driver not needing to touch the steering wheel. Both of these technologies are in prototype form right now and there is no indication of when they might come to market.
