The Pebble e-Paper watch attracted 67,000 backers on Kickstarter, raising a record breaking $10 million. Eric Migicovsky has started his company already in 2008, but only earlier this year came the big breakthrough on Kickstarter.
The Pebble E-Paper Watch alerts you of incoming phone calls and emails, controls your music, and even keeps you up to date on the weather, but where it really stands out is in its ability to run various apps. It communicates with an Android or iOS device using Bluetooth 4.0.
Eric Migicovsky will present Pebble at the Wearable Technologies Conference II 2012 on July 24 in San Francisco.
To registration for the Wearable Technologies Conference is still open. Register here. See the full agenda here.
You can pre-order Pebble watches here starting at $150. The Pebble watches start to ship early 2013.
