New Kindle eReader with Front Light Delayed?

The next generation Kindle eReader with active light display is possibly delayed according to supply chain rumors.

Everybody is talking right now about the next Kindle Fire tablet and the possibility of Amazon releasing a smartphone. Amazon's most successful gadget is though also due for an upgrade this year.

Amazon is supposed to release a new Kindle eBook reader with front lighting in Q3 of 2012. Now Digitimes reports that Amazon is facing issues with the front light design and delayed some component shipments.

Obviously it is important that Amazon has enough inventory of the new Kindle in time for the crucial holiday shopping season.
