Samsung sold over 50 million Smartphones last Quarter
Apple reported this week that the company sold 26 million iPhones in the last quarter. According to StrategyAnalytics (viaReuters
), Samsung has sold 50.5 million smartphones in the same time-frame. This is almost double as many.
Samsung cements with this result their Smartphone market leadership. Samsung also posted
record profits of $5.9 billion carried by their smartphone business.
(AllHipHop News) Dr. Dre and other investors at Beats Electronics made a windfall when the company was purchased by Apple earlier this year for $3 billion. According to reports, and even greater sum of money could possibly be transferring to the company as well.

While the company is yet to launch the device in India, it is up for pre-orders on Indian e-commerce site Infibeam, priced at Rs 46,990.
