Prepaid wireless carrier Cricket Wireless has announced the launch of a new Android smartphone called the Ascend Q. The smartphone has a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen and a physical keyboard underneath for typing text messages and e-mails. This is entry-level Android device running Gingerbread and using 800 MHz processor.
The device has a 1500mAh battery and has a 3.2 megapixel camera that can record video on back. The smartphone supports Wi-Fi, has hotspot functionality, and connects to 3G wireless networks. Internal storage is to a 4 GB microSD card. The phone operates on any Cricket Wireless unlimited plans with no contract. The smartphone is available for $139.99.
