got their hands on a shot of the Windows 8 retail boxes. The new Windows 8 packaging is fairly simple. It's a square box. Windows 8 comes in a white box and Windows 8 Pro in a dark grey one. The illustrations look a bit too retro for my taste.
I actually never bought a boxed Windows 8 OS. I always get the bulk or OEM version. These have always been much cheaper and who needs the printed Windows manual?
Windows 9 hasn’t been officially announced yet (we don’t even know if that will be its name) but already we’re starting to see screenshots purportedly showing off the feature that is set to get most, if not all of the attention -- the restored Start menu.
