Same-day Redbox availability as DVD launch

Sony and Redbox have announced that they have renewed their DVD and Blu-ray movie distribution deal. The new deal means that new films from Sony studios will come to Redbox kiosks the same day they land in stores. This is very good news for movie fans.

Several other companies that red box works with her movies make the kiosk firm delay movies for 30 days. The new deal will see red box and Sony working together for same-day releases through September 2014 with two different one-year extension options.
