Bloomberg reports that two sources revealed that IBM approached RIM showing interest in buying RIM's enterprise services. The secure email system is one of the big advantages RIM has had over the smartphone competition for years. If RIM sells this they are done. RIM has no chance of surviving as a handset maker. Their only chance is to offer a complete enterprise solution with handsets that do not stink so employees do not want the iPhone.
RIM is working on the BlackBerry 10 that is supposed to turn the company around.
