HBO Nordic Region Viewers to Get Streaming Programs with No Cable Subscription

If you need further proof that media companies hose Americans when it comes to options, consider HBO's new plan. The cable network announced at a press conference this week that it would launch HBO Nordic AB in the middle of October. The plan will allow viewers in the Nordic region to access streaming HBO programs without having a cable subscription.

Access to the service will cost €10 per month and will be available as an add-on for people who have a subscription HBO. It will show subtitled versions of American programs such as Game of Thrones. HBO says it doesn't have plans to launch streaming only offerings in other countries.
