New iMacs coming Soon

Apple will hold the iPhone 5 event on September 12th. Besides the iPhone 5 we have seen reports that Apple will also unveil new iPods. Fox News reports that Apple will release new iMacs soon. It could happen before the October iPad mini announcement. I do not think Apple will unveil the new iMacs at the iPhone 5 event.

If these new iMacs will have a Retina display like the new MacBook Pro is not clear. It could be just a minor performance update offering state of the art CPU and SSD drives.

Amazon Announces Set Top Video Device
Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to try out a number of Satechi’s USB hubs in my effort to combat my growing need to wire in more stuff to my Mac’s 4 USB ports. While wireless is often more convenient and downright necessary on laptops to have a good experience, I still enjoy the speed and reliability of a wired connection on my desktop setup. To have a completely ergonomic experience and avoid plugging and unplugging things, a USB hub of some sort is definitely needed. The challenge to ...

Mac Pro shipping delays won't sink Apple profits

Apple Store Soho Presents Meet The Athlete: Pele
Even four months after the Mac Pro’s initial release, Apple appears to be having problems making enough of the high-end cylindrical desktop computer. MacBook Pro vs. MacBook Air: how I made the choice

Alibaba To Kick Off IPO In U.S.
Lately, I’ve been struggling with what’s clearly a first-world problem: I have too many computers. There was my main iMac, which I love. Then there was my “power” laptop, a mid-2010 15-inch MacBook Pro (with the 1680-by-1050 display and a recently installed 750GB SSD), which I love. And there was my “light” laptop, a mid-2012 11-inch MacBook Air, which I love (and which replaced an older 11-inch Air). So what was the problem? The problem was that I don’t tr ...

Here Are The Unthinkable Prices For Apple Products In Brazil

Source: The Business Insider

Alibaba To Kick Off IPO In U.S.
Following reports of insanely expensive iPhones in Brazil, we stopped by an Apple vendor in São Paulo to see for ourselves. It's no joke. A 64 gigabyte iPhone 5S costs 3,599 reais, or about $1,637. The end result is the most expensive iPhone in the world. The same product costs $849 out of contract in the U.S. — still expensive, but only around half as much. Alibaba To Kick Off IPO In U.S.
Apple's iMac computer lineup is gorgeous, sleek and powerful, but the models that make up the iMac family are very pricey.
