Everything Everywhere, the joint venture between T-Mobile and Orange announced today at a press event that they will launch the EE 4G service today in London, Birmingham, Cardiff and Bristol. The full consumer launch is coming before Christmas covering 16 cities in the UK. The iPhone 5 will work on the EE 4G LTE network as rumored.
Everything Everywhere will now be just named EE, a wise decision. The UK is surprisingly late to the 4G LTE technology. It could have even taken longer, if not for T-Mobile and Orange putting their resources together.
