Panasonic has announced new home theater projector called the AE8000. The projector supports both 3-D and 2-D images. When in 3-D mode the projector uses active shutter glasses and ships with the needed IR transmitter. The projector uses a 220W Red Rich Lap for increased red intensity and better color reproduction.
The projector has 2400 lumens brightness rating and has a contrast ratio of 500,000:1. The projector has a 2x zoom lens and can throw a 120-inch image from as close as 11.8 feet away or as far as 23.6-feet away. The projector has lots of adjustability with +/- 100% vertical adjustment and +/- 26% horizontal adjustment. The projector will ship in late September or early October at an undisclosed price.
