Nintendo is hosting a media event in New York unveiling the Wii U release date and price for the United States and Europe. We will post here the highlights of the event. You can also watch it in a live video stream . The Wii U goes on sale in Japan on December 8.
Nintendo will of course also put a lot of emphasis on the launch titles for the Wii U. As said before, I am totally underwhelmed by the Wii U. Consoles have become media centers and gaming is just one thing they offer. Right now the Xbox 360 is offering the most. The Wii U is just starting and the new way of gaming is just not enough to make this thing a mega seller. But hey, maybe Reggie will say something today that makes me a believer.

Nintendo announced TVii for Wii U. Wii U becomes an entertainment device trying to catch with the Xbox 360. TVii looks great. Easy to use and unifies serveral streaming services like Netflix.
Pricing of the Wii U starts at $299.99. This is steep. The Wii U Deluxe Set seems a better deal in case you are actually want a Wii U priced at $349.99.
Like in Japan the Wii U comes as Deluxe Set in Black and as Wii U Basic Set in white. No Wiimotes included.
Nintendo does the right thing and launches Wii U ahead of Black Friday 2012.
