Nintendo Wii U Preview Event Highlights in Real-time
Nintendo is hosting a media event in New York unveiling the Wii Urelease date and price for the United States and Europe. We will post here the highlights of the event. You can also watch it in a live video stream. The Wii U goes on sale in Japan on December 8.
Nintendo will of course also put a lot of emphasis on the launch titles for the Wii U. As said before, I am totally underwhelmed by the Wii U. Consoles have become media centers and gaming is just one thing they offer. Right now the Xbox 360 is offering the most. The Wii U is just starting and the new way of gaming is just not enough to make this thing a mega seller. But hey, maybe Reggie will say something today that makes me a believer.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
