Apple Blown Away by iPhone 5 Demand

The iPhone 5 was within 60 minutes of the pre-order process sold out. The iPhone 5 is now shipping already 2 weeks delayed.

Apple launched the pre-order for the iPhone 5 at midnight pacific time. If did not get your order in right after launch your iPhone 5 will not ship on launch day. The shipping time frame jumped to weeks about 1 hour into the pre-order process. Assuming that Apple has made more iPhone 5 devices for launch than they did for the iPhone 4S launch there is another record.

Apple has now already confirmed this by saying: "We’ve been completely blown away by the customer response." The statement comes from an Apple spokesperson reports AllThingsD. This likely means Apple will make an announcement next week of record iPhone 5 sales.
