Apple sold 2 million iPhone 5 in the first 24 hours of the pre-order. This is twice the amount of the iPhone 4S phones Apple sold last year during the same time period. AT&T announced that they also have a new iPhone sales record. AT&T is though not revealing any numbers.
If you pre-order an iPhone 5 now you have to wait 2-3 weeks to get it. The next best chance to get an iPhone 5 on launch day is to line-up for it at an Apple or carrier store on Friday. The iPhone 5 goes on sale at 8am in stores.
