Foxconn has to share iPad mini production with Pegatron says a new Chinese report.
The iPad mini is supposed to be already in production. According to the Chinese Economic Daily News (via Engadget), the iPad mini will also be made by Pegatron. So far all iPads have been made by Foxconn. Pegatron would make 50 to 60% of all iPad mini tablets. I assume that Apple wants to play it save and have two companies be able to churn out as many iPad mini as needed. That number might be enormous. According to the report both factories could make 5 million iPad mini per month. That does not sound a lot. I hope Apple has already started production a while ago to satisfy the iPad mini demand.
