Seiko Japan decided to make George Lucas a bit richer and paid him a license fee to offer a Star Wars watch collection. We are talking high-end limited editions here. The most amazing Seiko Star Wars watch is the R2-D2 watch. Besides telling the time it shows 300dpi images with 4 grey levels on the display including that of R2-D2. The world time feature shows the time of 32 cities. Instead of the usual globe background you get an image of the death star.
The Seiko R2-D2 watch (SDGA005) is limited to 1,000 pieces. The price tag in Japan is 126,000 Yen (~$1,610). This new Seiko Star Wars watch is definitely a hot collector's item.
It looks like Seiko is only selling the Star Wars watches in Japan. See them all on the Japanese Seiko site.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
