iFixit took apart the iPhone 5 and identifies all chips used by Apple. Their iPhone 5 is not using any Samsung memory chips. The 16GB storage module is from Hynex and the 1GB RAM module is from Elpida. If this is true for all iPhone 5 units is not clear..
We have carried rumors that Apple tried to push out Samsung as iPhone 5 supplier as much as possible.
