Windows 8 will be released on October 26th. Microsoft is hosting launch events around the globe to mark the occasion. However, ZDNet spotted over the weekend that HSN.com (Home Shopping Network) is already selling new Windows 8 laptops and all-in-one PCs. This is over two weeks before launch. HSN is a big retailer and not your rogue hardware online shop. ZDNet verified with HSN customer service that these Windows 8 machines are ready to ship right away. HSN is selling two Gateway laptops and an interesting Acer laptop with touchscreen. Additionally you can buy a Gateway and an Acer All-in-One PC.
So if you want to be the first on the block with a Windows 8 PC, HSN.com is your ticket. Prices start at $699.95.
Update: According to a new report on The Verge, HSN is telling buyers that the Windows 8 PCs will ship early November. This is contradicting the ZDNet report. HSN should clear the confusion and state the shipping dates on the web site for the listed Windows 8 PCs.

HSN tells Buyers that Windows 8 PCs ship in November
The Verge got different information than ZDNet. HSN apparently tells buyers of the offered Windows 8 PCs that they are NOT shipping right away. Delivery is in first week of November. This is all very missleading by HSN.com and they should state the shipping timeframes on the product pages to end the confusion.

Apple says celebrity accounts were compromised
The attack was described by Apple as "all too common on the Internet." However, the company is denying earlier reports that its iCloud servers and Find my iPhone service were undermined.
The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
