Apple has not announced a specific release date for the new iPod touch 5G and iPod nano 7G yet. The release date will be in October. Rumors point to end of October. The first iPod touch review and iPod nano review have to already surfaced online in Japan.
iPod touch and iPod nano Release Date unknown, but here are the First Reviews
The new iPod touch 5th generation and iPod nano 7th generation are on sale/pre-order for a while now, but customers still do not know when they will actually arrive. A couple days ago Applelet it slip on the Australian Apple Store that the shipment will start in three weeks. Now it has been reverted to October like it has been on the US Apple Store. So the current assumption is that the new iPod touch and iPod nano will start shipping in the last week of October.
Despite this, a Japanese Apple blog already got their hands on the iPod touch 5G and iPod nano 7G and published in-depth reviews including video reviews. Not sure how the site got the retail iPods earlier than the tech pundits. I assume Apple will have the WSJ, New York Times and others publish reviews of the new iPod touch and iPod nano days ahead of the release. Links to the first new iPod reviews and videos are below.

Miranda Lambert nominated for 9 CMA Awards this Year
Miranda Lambert showed her soft side for a 7 year old fan with cancer. She kept wiping her tears off when she sang “Over You” for a 7 year old cancer patient in Texas on Saturday. And she was also nominated for 9 CMA awards this year.
The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
