The new iPod touch 5th generation and iPod nano 7th generation are on sale/pre-order for a while now, but customers still do not know when they will actually arrive. A couple days ago Apple let it slip on the Australian Apple Store that the shipment will start in three weeks. Now it has been reverted to October like it has been on the US Apple Store. So the current assumption is that the new iPod touch and iPod nano will start shipping in the last week of October.
Despite this, a Japanese Apple blog already got their hands on the iPod touch 5G and iPod nano 7G and published in-depth reviews including video reviews. Not sure how the site got the retail iPods earlier than the tech pundits. I assume Apple will have the WSJ, New York Times and others publish reviews of the new iPod touch and iPod nano days ahead of the release. Links to the first new iPod reviews and videos are below.
