Windows 8 is launching next week on October 26. The pundits are now giving us their take on Windows 8. Walt Mossberg has only good things to say in his Windows 8 review. The only thing he raised is the potential confusion between the new UI and old UI and the different Windows 8 versions (RT and Pro). Other than that there are only small issues, like lacking of some email features. Walt Mossberg published a video review and text review of Windows 8.
Time will tell how successful Windows 8 will be, but it looks very promising. Microsoft is moving to a device ans software company like Apple. They should have done that years ago, but finally they got it that users want a unified computing solutions that just work. What this means for Microsoft hardware partners will be interesting to see.
