PS3 System Update Ends Sony Participation in Folding@home

Sony has announced that tomorrow will bring a new PS3 system update ringing the console to version 4.3.0. The new version will bring changes to the Trophies menu allowing gamers who also on the PS Vita to see their trophies for the Vita on the PS3.

The update will also retire all services available through the Life with PlayStation application. Along with that retirement, Sony is also ending its participation in the Stanford University Folding@home initiative. Sony says that more than 15 million users participating in the initiative since it launched in 2007 donating over 100 million computational hours.
