The Walking Dead struts back onto Dish Network
Dish Network has announced that over the weekend it settled its long-running court case with AMC networks and its sister company Cablevision Systems. The court case goes all the way back to 2008 and is the main reason why Dish Network dropped AMC networks. With AMC Networks no longer offered on the Dish Network satellite system fans of The Walking Dead and Madmen were left unable to watch their shows.
AMC came back to Dish Network last Sunday night just in time for a new episode of The Walking Dead. The settlement cost Dish Network $700 million in cash with $80 million of that amount buying Cablevision's multichannel video and data distribution services.
