2012 Mac mini Specifications leak ahead of Apple Event

The Apple October 23 media event starts at 10am PDT / 1pm EDT in San Francisco in the California Theatre. Based on the Apple rumor mill the company will unveil several new products. The list of new Apple releases includes iPad mini, iPad 3 with Lightning, 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display, updated iMacs and updated Mac minis. Apple is expected to make a play for the iPad mini in the educational market.

9to5Mac reveals that the new Mac Mini will come with new processors starting at 2.5 GHz dual-core CPU. The top model will have a 2.3Ghz quad-core CPU and 1TB hard-drive. There will be also a server Mac mini again. The configuration of the server model has a 2.3 GHz quad-core, 4GB RAM and 2TB hard-drive.
