Herbie Inspired Volkswagen Beetle 53 Edition Launched

The special edition in inspired by the Herbie- the anthropomorphic 1963 Volkswagen Beetle, which has been used as a character in several Disney films starting from the The Love Bug (1968). The new Beetle has got the film star car's famous '53' racing number and tricolor body stripes.

The Volkswagen Beetle 53 Edition features white exterior, which is further complemented by tri-color stripe (red, white & blue), 17-inch alloy wheels and a 'Beetle 53' badge in the glove box, helping it become even more fascinating than the earlier version. Additionally, it gets a bunch of exciting features like tire pressure and park pilot parking assist sensor, which makes it a feature-rich and contemporary car. Volkswagen Beetle 53 will be offered in four different engine options- 77kW 1.2-liter petrol, 77kW 1.6-liter diesel, 103kW 2.0-liter diesel and a 103kW 2.0-liter diesel with six-speed DSG transmission, each priced differently for its Spanish customers.

The VW Beetle 53 Edition is set to hit the Spanish market soon and if you're planning to get your hands on one, be prepared to spend EUR22,090 (USD28,575).
