Apple Rumored to Be Contemplating Change from Intel Processors for Macs

Apple has been using Intel processors inside of its Mac computers for a long time now. The first Intel chips landed in Mac computers back in 2005. Some engineers are now saying that Apple may shift to processors of its own design in the next few years.

Apple has been producing its own chips for mobile devices like the iPad the iPhone for a long time. One byproduct of Apple's move to Intel chips was Mac computers gain the ability to run the Windows operating system via Boot Camp. No official comment on any potential move away from Intel processors been made by Apple Intel at this time.
