Apple Versus Samsung Jury Foreman Investigation Begins December 6
Samsung is looking for anyway it can to get out of having to pay Apple the $1 billion a jury awarded for violation of Apple patents. Samsung has recently focused on attempting to prove that the foreman of the jury withheld information. Samsung is requesting that the trial be dismissed based on misconduct.
The judge overseeing the case, Judy Koh, has set a hearing to look into the matter on December 6. Samsung says that it in Seagate have a very close material working relationship and that jury foreman Vel Hogan failed to disclose the fact that he had been forced into bankruptcy after his former employer, Seagate, sued him. Legal experts don't believe Samsung has a chance of having the case dismissed based on juror misconduct.
