Several retailers announced special treatment for shoppers who are reward card members for their Black Friday 2012 sales. If you are not a member of a certain retail reward card you are essentially becoming a second class Black Friday shopper this year.

Sears has the most aggressive offer this year. As a Shop Your Way member you get access to Sears Black Friday 2012 deals five days before the actual Black Friday. This means members of the Sears reward card program get already a chance to score some of the Sears Black Friday deals before non-members, giving them a big advantage as they get two chances to for instance get their hands on the $97 32-inch HDTV deal.

Target has also revealed that Target REDCard members get access to Target Black Friday 2012 deals two days ahead of Black Friday 2012. If you browse the Kmart Black Friday 2012 Ad you see that several deals are only for Shop Your Way members.

Retailers are using their Black Friday Sales to get you to sign up for reward cards so you become more than just a ZIP code.

The big downside of reward cards is that retailers start to really know everything about you. If you are comfortable that Sears or Target know what you buy than these programs are cool as they save you money. If you are concerned about your privacy you will be shopping Black Friday 2012 in coach class.

Black Friday 2012 is on November 23, 2012. Once again the whole month of November will be the filled with great Black Friday deals and sales. I4U News will again report about the best Black Friday deals and the hottest Black Friday ads as soon as they become available. The first Black Friday 2012 Ads are here including the Walmart Black Friday 2012 Ad.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
