Kmart follows the trend to open Black Friday sales already on Thanksgiving Day also in stores. Online Black Friday sales have already started on Thanksgiving Day for the last couple of years. New is that retail chains also open their stores on Thanksgiving Day to start Black Friday sales. Walmart and Sears open at 8pm and keep the stores open during the night until Black Friday.
Kmart's Black Friday store opening hours are a bit complicated. Kmart opens on Thanksgiving Day at 6am, but closes at 4pm. Kmart then opens again at 8pm and keeps stores open until 3am. Then two hours later, Kmart opens again at 5am on Black Friday 2012. Kmart published above graphics that visualize the three doorbuster time frames making them easier to understand.
Kmart Thanksgiving/Black Friday Hours:
Thanksgiving Day: 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. on 11/23
Black Friday: 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
