CES 2003 Innovations Award Winner

Gibson MaGIC-enabled Digital Guitar is a CES 2003 Innovations Award Winner in Personal Electronics The Media-accelerated Global Information Carrier (MaGIC) is an ethernet networking protocol that is the brain child of Henry Juszkiewicz, Executive Director of the MaGIC project. He has been working on the digital communication standard that connects audio equipment or home based appliances through a network for over 10 years. Apparently, MaGIC over comes IEEE (Firewire)  limitations of live audio performances.  Magic carries up to 64 signals bi-directional high-fidelity audio per cable with sample rates up to 192 kHz Check out the very cool 10 minute video that explains the concepts in more detail.  A year ago TechTV published a story and produced a video news report on MaGIC.
