JBL Launches New iPhone 5 Speaker Docks with Lightning Connector
JBL has announced the launch of a couple new speaker docks specifically made for the iPhone 5, iPad mini, and updated iPad that have the new Lightning connector. That lightning connector is probably one the most irritating at least appreciated updates for people who have had an iPhone for a long time. The new docking connector meant your old accessories wouldn't work without an adapter cable.
Just in time for the holiday shopping season JBL has unveiled two new speaker docks that are specifically designed for devices that have the Lightning connector. The JBL OnBeat Micro is a portable speaker designed to slip into a backpack or briefcase powered by an internal rechargeable battery. The battery is good for five hours of use per charge and recharge is using a USB port.
The other devices a larger speaker dock called the OnBeat Venue LT that is designed for use indoors. It also supports Bluetooth streaming and both devices work with the JBL MusicFlow app. The Micro sells for $99 and the Venue LT sells for $199.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
