Walmart.com releases New Design in the Middle of Early Black Friday 2012 Sales

Walmart launched the Big Pre-Black Friday 2012 Sales Event online at Walmart.com yesterday. We just noticed that Walmart is rolling out a new homepage design right now. There are some issues as I cannot click on the Big Black Friday deals.

Walmart.com releases New Design in the Middle of Early Black Friday 2012 Sales

Black Friday 2012 is less than a week away and this weekend early Black Friday sales are going to be massive. As reported Best Buy launched another Shop Early, Save Big event and Walmart is offering the Big Pre-Black Friday sales event on Walmart.com until Thanksgiving Day. Walmart seems to think that this is a great time to roll out a new web site design. Well they should have done that in the summer when everybody is on vacation. Now that America is shopping like crazy, to roll out a new layout is not a good idea - especially if it has bugs. Right now I cannot click the Walmart Pre-Black Friday deals on the homepage

Not sure what the Walmart web team is thinking, but we here see Black Friday traffic spiking on the weekends. To roll out a new site design on the weekend is therefore a bad idea for business. I would have chosen last Tuesday, if summer was not an option.

The highlights of the new Pre Walmart Black Friday sale include a $429 50-inch Sceptre 1080p 60Hz HDTV, $139 Apple iPod nano with free accessory kit, $328 32-inch Samsung LED HDTV, $259 Sony PS3 Bundle, iPad 4 w/ Free Accessory Bundle, $229 Xbox 360 console bundle, $179 Nintendo 3DS Bundle, $288.86 Laptop bundle, 7-inch Ematic Android Tablet for $59 and more.

As the Walmart Black Friday 2012 Ad is already released, you can compare the deals available today with the actual Black Friday deals on sale next week.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
