Consumers Encounter Server Issues with Walmart Black Friday 1-Hour In Stock Guarantee [Update]

The 45-page Walmart Black Friday ad is packed with lots of deals, but what stands out is the One-Hour Guarantee on three Walmart Black Friday doorbuster deals.

Walmart has secured large quantities of select Black Friday deals and gives you a guarantee that you will be able to get these deals if you are inside a Walmart store and in the queue line between 10pm and 11pm local time on Thanksgiving Day.

If any of these items happen to sell out before 11 p.m. local time, Walmart will offer a Guarantee Card for the item which must be paid for by midnight and registered online. The product will then be shipped to the store where it was purchased for the customer to pick up before Christmas.

Update: The Black Friday Card page is working again.

Consumers trying to register their one-hour guarantee card at walmart.com/blackfridaycard encounter server issues. Consumers have though time to redeem their guarantee card until 11:59 PM CST, Sunday, November 25, 2012 (Via this Walmart small print). So rather than trying to order now, I recommend to shop for other Black Friday deal as long as they are in stock.

Walmart published a page on Walmart.com detailing the 1-Hour In Stock Guarantee. There are some exceptions and a limit of one guarantee card per person per item.

The iPad 2 with $75 Gift Card and the $148 32-inch TV are great Black Friday deals that you do not want to miss.

The Walmart One-Hour Guarantee Deals are:

Apple iPad 2 16GB with Wi-Fi– $399 plus get a $75 Walmart Gift Card

Emerson 32" 720p LCD TV – $148

LG Blu-ray Player – $38

As you see, Walmart is not fooling around with the One-Hour guaranteed deals. All three are exceptional Black Friday deals. A 32-inch HDTV under $150 is a real steal as is the $38 Blu-ray player.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
